Here we are again, receiving the Chef's Choice SILVER MEDAL Award at the August 6 Cream of the Crop Cupping Competition at the Four Seasons Hotel on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, Saturday, August 6. We have received awards at that event several times before, and it was good to get a ribbon again.

It was a very festive event with people circulating, trying different desserts and coffees. We served samples to about 200 people and talked about farming, coffee tasting, and our Naupaka label. It was a very knowledgeable coffee loving group.

Next to our tent was artist Marian Stanton, who did the art work for our new Kona Cafй label. She featured that picture among her many beautiful paintings.

Naupaka Kona Coffee combines coffee from our estate, Kona Cafй with coffee from a higher elevation farm, bringing together the flavors from two different growing areas. Both, of course, are in Kona.
